A B-52H Stratofortress belonging to the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron is welcomed with a shower at Guam.

The following image shows a B-52 taxiing through a clear water rinse system after landing at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam on Mar. 11, 2014.

Unlike commercial planes that get a shower for celebratory reasons the clear water rinse system is used to clean the B-52 after flight over salt water.

Some B-52s flying with the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron deployed to the Pacific island as part of the continuous bomber presence mission to maintain “a prudent, long-standing deterrent capability throughout the Asia-Pacific region.”

Few days ago, two B-52s and two B-2s were involved in a +20-hour long, round-trip synchronized attack training mission on ground targets located on Hawaii’s Pohakuloa military weapon range.
