The following gallery contains just a small selection of pictures of Bangladesh Air Force combat planes taken by Faisal Akram Ether at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The airport, is the largest airport in Bangladesh and it is located in the capital Dhaka. It is not only the home base and hub of all Bangladeshi airlines, including Biman Bangladesh Airlines, but it shares the runway with the BAF airbase of Kurmitola that hosts several combat unit: 5 Sqn, 8 Sqn, 21 Sqn, 35 Sqn and 101 Sqn.

This means that a wide and interesting variety of aircraft in the Bangladesh Air Force inventory can be spotted there, including some  (armed) made in China Nanchang A-5s and Chengdu F-7s, and the eight Mig-29 procured in 1988.

Although you can find some pictures of the BAF planes at work, including some stunning air-to-air photos, those taken by Ether at Dhaka showing Bangladeshi aircraft in different configurations and color schemes most probably represent the most interesting collection available on line.
